Testimony Kim Young hee I was born in Seoul. My family is four; parent, younger brother and me. My mother was a christian so I could have christian faith. My father runned a small factory. He always taught us how important education is. He hadn't got any faith about God but when I got married he became a deacon in a church. My brother who is a medical doctor was also got married and had belief. Therefore, I could receive answers to my prayers. I used to go church from the childhood, but I had Jesus Christ as a Savior when I joined summer conference in the second grade in my middle school. From that time I knew the faith is so important. After that I entered Sungkyunkwan University and joined 'Gethsemane' which is Sungkyunkwan University Christian Fellowship. Through the 'Gethsemane' meetings and committee works I met Jesus Christ in person and I devoted myself to God. It was the time to change my life views completely in the Lord. I also met my husband now. We decided to walk together the Lord's way. After graduation I thought that I'll do anything what the Lord delight and worked in a library in Whakokdong Church for three years. I was interested in christian culture at that time and my major was connected with the job as well. I was happy about my carrier. I enjoyed to arrange christuan books and learned happiness of serving others. At the same time I also worked for 'Correction Welfare Mission' and knew that exclusive neighbours in a society need Gospel very much. After that, I worked in a Planning Department in Christ Theological College for 6 years. I learned computer and administration works through many experiences such as advertisement, personal work, project, budget and so on. In this period, my husband started to study in a seminary and we got married. I didn't think to be a pastor's wife but because I wanted to devote to God I helped my husband. I thought that is my best. I couldn't go the short term mission with my husband because of my job. But I prayed with a heart which is same as my husband's. During the nighttime I went to a nursery teacher's institution and got a qualification of that. That was my preparation for mission. When I heard about Kazakhstan from my husband I had a vision for Kazakhstan which put on the coner of the Central Asia, a mind to work in the Alma Ata Presbyterian Seminary with my administration carrier and a heart to evangelize for kids. Even though I'm weak, but I, as a debtor of the Gospel and a redeemed man, want to serve and pray there. I'm sure there is God's special will to call us to Kazakhstan. I want to go there with loving heart. I'd like to give to God the best thing of mine even my stable job and devote Him with my best whoever I am as a pastor's wife or as a teacher. I wish that we are going to cooperate missionary Kim who is already there, do our best evangelizing ministry in Alma Ata, hand in the Lord's heart to the nation. |
